No dig gardening, beds mulched with compost are ready for seeds and plants

See the result of winter weather on aged cow and horse manure, spread in early winter https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VJhGIrqKs1k&t=1s. The bed is now ready for cropping all year without adding any other feed, and we already planted peas for shoots as first crop, to be followed by celery. The nutrients in aged compost do not leach in winter rain so it’s fine to leave beds uncovered after spreading compost in autumn. More info at http://www.charlesdowding.co.uk.
